Thunderwave 10-Year Warranty Policy
Thunderwave is committed to providing durable, high-performance starting & cranking batteries for automotive applications. To back our commitment to quality, every Thunderwave battery comes with a 10-year limited warranty, covering you for a full decade of reliable performance.
Warranty Coverage
-
Warranty Period: This warranty extends for 10 years from the original purchase date, offering extended coverage to support your vehicle’s starting power needs over time.
-
Coverage Scope: Thunderwave’s 10-year warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal and recommended use. If your Thunderwave starting & cranking battery fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will provide either a free replacement battery or a pro-rated refund based on the remaining warranty period.
-
Free Replacement Period: For the first 3 years from the date of purchase, any defective battery will be replaced free of charge, with no pro-ration. After this initial period, refunds or replacements will be calculated based on the battery’s remaining value in proportion to the full warranty term.
Exclusions and Limitations
The warranty does not cover failures due to the following:
- Misuse or Abuse: Including overcharging, deep cycling (when not recommended), or using the battery outside its specified parameters.
- Improper Installation: Installation that does not adhere to vehicle or battery guidelines, leading to damage.
- Environmental Factors: Exposure to extreme weather conditions, water submersion, fire, or other environmental hazards.
- Vehicle Modifications: Failures resulting from aftermarket electrical modifications or performance adjustments.
- Normal Wear and Tear: Gradual capacity reduction over time, as expected with normal battery usage, is not covered under warranty.
How to File a Claim
To file a warranty claim:
- Contact our Customer Support team by phone or email, providing your original purchase receipt, proof of purchase, and details about the issue.
- Our team may ask for the battery’s inspection at an authorized service center or request further documentation for verification.
- Approved claims will be handled based on warranty terms, offering a replacement or pro-rated refund based on the warranty’s remaining period.
Warranty Transfer
The 10-year warranty is transferable if the vehicle is sold within the warranty period. However, the new owner must provide the original proof of purchase for verification purposes.
